Privacy in Bermuda
The Law
Bermuda has passed privacy / data protection legislation. The PIPA introduces obligations for organisations and provides individuals with rights. It has not yet come into force.

We welcome Bermuda's first Privacy Commissioner, Alexander McD White (appointed January 29, 2020). With his appointment organisations should begin preparations for privacy compliance.
The Book

Gateway Systems Ltd. has sponsored the publication of "The PIPA - A Practical Guide to the 'Personal Information Protection Act 2016'". The book has been written in a straightforward manner as an aid to understanding the impact of the Act and is intended for both organisations and individuals.
